Season One: Fatal Triskelion

Text reads: Season One at the top, Fatal Triskelion below.

In a world of both state-serving and syndicate-loyalist metahumans, Kalon Syne is condemned to a life of hardship and powerlessness as an Errant for a crime she didn't commit. Despite this obstacle, she has managed to make a new and semi-stable life for herself in the precinct of Glimmerhold Demos with a steady job, a mentor named Alexandir Granger, supportive co-workers, and a roof over her head. When Alexandir vanishes during an investigation to find missing metahumans, including her obsessive ex-boyfriend Warde the Nightstalker, her past returns to haunt her. Rashu the Lionheart, the metahuman and childhood friend responsible for her Errant status, is one of the best investigators in the city and re-enters Kalon's life to find both his nemesis Warde and Alexandir. Unable to trust him due to their complicated history, she takes it upon herself to assist with the investigation.Yet the more Kalon entangles herself into the investigation of her mentor's disappearance and Rashu's plans to find his nemesis Warde, the more her stable life starts to fall apart. With the emergence of a metahuman terrorist group, the leaders of the city need a scapegoat for the crimes to maintain their control over the city: and Kalon once again offers them the perfect opportunity.

Series Goals

A map of the archipelago of Shia Bron, made on Inkarnate.

"Echoing Sins" is a long-term Dark Fantasy/Mystery series. The vision for this story spreads across five seasons in total, each with about five books (give or take 1 - 2).For all the islands on the map of Shia Bron (above), the story of "Echoing Sins" will remain on the island of Freseri where the polis of Tristol resides. However, as the author I can promise you an unexpected ride with greater stakes for each of the trio. After the events that transpire in Season 1: Fatal Triskelion, the trio's fate becomes more entangled into a complicated search for the truth about the Otonia Rail Catastrophe and the Apprenticeship Trials. New characters will join the main cast - characters who work both with and against Kalon, Rashu, and Warde. Relationships between mentors, apprentices, colleagues, and friends will be further strained or broken while unexpected new alliances are forged.Readers will get to explore more districts of Tristol, including the mysterious bayous and wetlands of Wildelight Demos where the Mauk's thrive beyond city walls. Although I will not be exploring the infinite cosmos where Illai come from, there will be a deeper look into the Illai, the Celestial Council, and the mythology surrounding Vessa, Azemar, and Talerien.I apologize for the vagueness of what to look forward to in this series, but I don't want to give away too much for those who haven't yet read through Season One. If you want to explore more of the worldbuilding, you can purchase the locked Extras Package on Campfire.
